SES Jumper Plug Required
I recently obtained a combined Assist/Bluetooth TCU from a mid 06 X5 that I intend to intsall in my 04/04 X5. I understand the issue with the eject box aerial wiring so I will worry about that later. Since the combined Assist/Bluetooth TCUs do not have Voice Recognition (they use the seperate voice recognition module which I will not be fitting) does this mean I SHOULD fit the SES jumper plug to allow the phone signals to pass through - or SHOULD I NOT fit the SES jumper plug, since it is there to activate the VR in TCUs that have it built in? I have checked the forums without luck! To USE or NOT USE the SES jumper plug - that is the question! Regards, Luke Jenner |

I believe you will need either the jumper pug or the VR module, one or the other.
What year is your X5? And if 2004, what is the production month?

SES Jumper Plug Required
Thanks for the quick reply.
My X5 is April 04 production. It is the facelift model - the later version with panoramic sunroof. I refer to this as a 2004.5 model as the original facelift models still had the standard sunroof. Regards, Luke Jenner |

i think you will need the ses jumper plug.
I retrofitted Bt also and i needed a jes jumper plug. Without the jumperplug you can not hear or speak with the others. |
