Motorola 710 and weird phonebook symbols

I have a Mororola 710 paired with a 2005 X5 3.0. When I go to look at the phonebook on the screen or look at it in the dash, the names are followed by @@ symbols. ex(Jen@@) Does anyone have this also or does anyone know how to fix this?

Try deleting the BMW off your V710's Handsfree setup and repair up and the symbols will disappear. Otherwise it should eventually fix itself.

Yes, the (?) is fine. Unforunately, the BMW BT cannot tell the difference between "mobile" "home" "work" etc.....

Just as long as your names show up, you're fine.

What you can do is manually enter a (m) or (h) or (w) after their name (but just use their first name)....after 10 characters, the name gets truncated on the MID/NAV screen.

I thought about that, but then I'd have to create separate entries in Outlook/v710 for each number for a given contact... that would be a real pain. And it would also make the phonebook on the v710 a lot more cumbersome - right now I have it set up so that only one number (of my choosing) appears in the list for each contact. (You can get to the other numbers by selecting the primary, and scrolling down).
