I had a similar problem with my 6310i. One thing to check is that you don't have lots of SMS messages stored on your phone - if you do, dlete as many as you can. It's as if the phone cannot transfer the messages to the car quickly enough during the pairing process before it times out. Once I dleted a load of messages it paired reliably.
One other thing is that I did have a faulty centre cradle, but this thing with the messages is real - lots of similar reports of this problem in the UK.

Hope it helps,

Petert

As Mahmud said the problem is that he cant get the BT into the pairing mode, so the issue is not realy witn phone (not yet anyways)

E5M1R - I understand what you are saying: I suggested what I did because I had the same symptoms: all I could get the screen to say was 'Activate Phone', so it looked like the pairing process wasn't even starting.

If there are few messages stored on the phone and it still won't progress then I agree it is a different problem.

No does not. Just a few question : If the BT pairing don´t show up , is there any hope that the pairing will success ?
If my ULF is the 1th Generation is that to old and bad and its the mean reason why my BT dosen´t work?
Or maybe one cable is not ´´really´´ connected ?

Please correct me if i am wrong...
If you put your phone into the stock holder in armrest then it is connected to the system trough wires and not bluetooth so it should work withouth pairing it to the car (this is the way benz phones work) so my guess is that your phone module is broken or some cable is loose or something

Did you try to reset the car by dissconecting the battery for a 30 min or so (i had some issues the other day after my batterie died half of the instrument cluster was not working, like RPM, Fuel, CheckControl and so on i called the dealer and he told me to do this to reset the car and it worked)

Just cal your local BMW shop and ask for help, they will charge you 500skr/hour ($80) to check
