BMW Bluetooth / Assist

Here's a question for the folks here. Currently, I have an 04 vert and it came with BMW Asist. I replaced the assist with the bluetooth module (can't remember which version, however, it does have voice recognition). I also retrofitted oem navigation in my car (DVD / 16.9 screen etc). Currently, the bluetooth works flawlessly, however, I was thinking about replacing my bluetooth module with bluetooth/bmw assist module.

The part number is 84 11 6 946 993. Since this part number referes to version 1 which is without voice recognition, if I was to put this module in my car, would the voice recognition work? I read somewhere that if my car was equipped with navi, then the voice recognition would work.

i did the retrofit bmw assist/bluetooth combo module, with the upgraded combo TCU and antenna, i do NOT have voice recognition. I have the 16:9 navigation system, and no voice recognition, just BMW assist and Bluetooth together.
