Pairing the NEW iPhone 3G, Samsung Instict or HTC Touch Diamond?

My phone contract is up and I am curious if anyone here has been able to successfully pair the newest iPhone 3G with their X5?

Also wondering if anyone has had success with Blackbery Curve, Samsung Instict or HTC Touch Diamond?

Absolutely no problem pairing the iPhone 3G with my 2008 X5.

I read on an Apple-oriented forum, that someone had a problem getting their address book to sync but I don't know what model BMW that was. Anyway, I had no problem synching my address book either.

Haven't been so pleased with a gadget since I bought my X5! Over the years, I had multiple Palm and BlackBerry devices. One of key features for me is the ability to load apps -- particularly ones like SplashID where I maintain my hundreds of userids and passwords...

FYI-
The 3G iPhone also works perfectly with the 6FL (USB) option. Plays music and interfaces with the stereo perfectly. No more GSM noise issues either.

You know, I haven't even tried mine yet. I know the newer iPods need a newer part for the 6FL option (which I guess came out earlier this year). When did you get your 6FL option cable?

Here's some interesting info regarding the need to turn off Wi-Fi from the e-90 forum. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70110

That's interesting. Still have my RAZR hard-wired in E70 so haven't been using iPhone in car. Going to have to test this but I assume I'm going to turn off Wi-Fi too.

Some people are saying that they are not experiencing any interference problem with Wi-Fi while driving though...

Didn't work in my '04. I have an '06 TCU. Need to decide if I want to spend the $$ on a new TCU.

UPDATE: The 3G iPhone is working now. I think it was just taking a really long time for the phone book to upload to the car. So far it works great. Didn't have to disable the WLAN either!
