ULF retrofit into a 08/04 X5
I may be a little behind the power and technology curve, but I upgraded my ULF (ULF manufactured 06/2004) with no Bluetooth capability to a 10/2006 module. All I can say is wow! No reprogramming was necessary, and my phonebook loaded up instantly. What a great concept to have Bluetooth handy in the X5!
![]() Is it worth getting the voice activated module? Daniel

ULF
If I remember well, voice commands are included in such a gen ULF, these commands need to be programmed at a dealer or with Navcoder

Some more detail on this
I have an 08/04 build X5 4.4i with out the blue tooth capability it seems. The dealer told me I have a "single TCU", dual TCUs came out in September 04. I would like to know what the ULF is and if you have more details to share about this mod. Was it plug and play?
Thanks for sharing this mod. |

Everything was plug and play. I just discovered today that the ULF has build in voice recognition (thanks, asot). Unfortunately, the VR seems like it has limited capability. That, and the VR doesn't recognize my phone book, although it clearly displays fine on the instrument cluster and MID.
I will post the part number when I get home from work. Daniel
