help with bluetooth

i was sat on my drive today and noticed that i had a sms on the bluetooth screen on the x5, i went to read it and there was about 80 sms on the screen that was not from my phone and some ones telephone numbers ect on there too how can this happen and how can i stop it?
I deleted all phones on it but as soon as i paired it back with my phone it showes both our sms messages...............

I don't believe you can stop the SMS messages appearing on the screen. After deleting the other phones, there should be no-one elses messages on their apart from yours, however you will have to delete any pre-existing messages on your screen.

I had well over 100 on my X3. I could pretty much see the previous owners life story, and had phone numbers for their family and friends (off the SMS).

I spoke to the dealer about this, and they had absolutely no idea how to bulk delete. I did say that it was a breach of the UK Data Protection because of some of the information.....

Anyhow, I had to spend an hour or more going through and deleting them one by one.
