trouble pairing phone with car

hey there, i've just joined up to the site as i am a new owner of an 03 X5 4.4i. WHAT A CAR! Im in love already but having trouble with working the bluetooth. Icant get the phone to pair up with the system. could anybody tell me how to do this. nearly forgot, I do have the passkey #

Welcome. Are you sure your 2003 has BT? If so, we have a whole section of this site devoted to such things. Start HERE, and look at the first entry under "Owner's Manuals"; it describes pairing BT for pre-2005 models on page 8.
