Talking IPhone and Bluetooth actually work, finally.

After much frustration, I finally got an IPhone working with my 2006 X5 Bluetooth, consistently. Several phones had been paired to my X5, two of these were in the car at the same time and the phone module seemed to freeze up, the X5 telephone module would not work at all. The second phone was a Nokia that was not fully compatible but did work for calls, I used the Bluetooth voice module as the directory would not upload from the Nokia. The battery on my X5 drained down, quite by chance, following recharging the battery, the IPhone paired back to the Bluetooth and the IPhone has been working fine. The service mechanics talked about unhooking the battery for several months but never performed the procedure. After the battery run down, all I had to set on the X5 was the date and time. Also, you will want to turn the IPhone WI-FI setting to off (this is performed via the IPhone general settings).
