Hi again.
I downloaded to my Nokia E90 the latest sw (version 400.34.93). After pairing the phone with my X3 2009 phone (SA 644) all the contact info was automatically loaded to the car. This is a bit promblematic - I have round 500 contacts in my phone and some of the contacts have even several telephone numbers. Browsing a desired number is practically impossible by pressing the steering wheel arrow buttons. Do you have any experience/comments/proposals on this issue?

The previous way to upload contacts- as discribed in this forum - was a better solution even it was a bit complicated to implement.

Replying by myself. With John's advice (see Symbian Developer Network Forums : BMW Bluetooth CarKit integration ... ) I succeeded in loading the phonebook items to my car (SA 644). Thanks John!

The solution is not complete but a lot better than nothing.
could you update the link please?

yes, what I normally do is create a CAR category of most used contacts when in the car and set the phone in such a way that it only syncs this category with the car.

It worked flawlessly with blackberry OS and Win Mo.

Hi
That's correct and works nicely with my Nokia N8 as well.
Next week I will get the new X3 (F25) - interesting to see how this bluetooth/contacts works with that.

Yes - it does. Pairing in the similar way as with Nokia E90 and E72. Works well.

well I managed to pair it with my 2005 E53 but 2 major problems:
1. the phonebook is not transferred to the car screen
2. once connected, the phone enters into a voice command stand by mode, ie it waits for me to say a voice command. most of the time i will not say anything of course, but it can pick up sounds from the radio or the dialog with the passenger as a command, therefore very bad
3. I have to press 2-3 times because I can dial/answer a call from the car buttons.

do you not have the above issues?

Hi
That kind of problems I have not had. If I remember correctly the Nokia E90 worked fine with my BMW E90 (2005) Professional Radio (no iDrive but with voice command).

Today I have X3 2009 and both Nokia E90, E72 and N8 works well (no iDrive no voice command) with the Professional Radio. Interesting to see if it works in F25 which I will get tomorrow...

Please try to find the above link from Symbian Developer Network Forums - and try accordingly. I hope it helps and solves your problems.
