Question When two phones are paired! which one is actually connected?

Hi Everyone,

I am new here. Sorry if this question has been asked before.

I have two phones, one SonyEricson T610 and one 2G Iphone, paired to my E46 2005 model. When the two phones both exist in the car, it is
always shown (the contacts) of the Iphone connection (which was the second to have been paired with)!

How to switch to another phone? Anyone has the experience?

Only way is to switch off the Bluetooth on the 2nd phone. It is ALWAYS the newest phone to be paired (if present in the car) that will connect.

So, if you have 4 phones paired, and have phone no. 1 and no.3 in the car, phone no. 3 will pair etc.... It's a real PITA. My Mrs. Toyota has a facility on the nav/computer screen to manually switch ... the BMW isn't that sophisticated.

I thought it was the first phone in the group of up to 4 phones. So phone 1, took priority over phone 2 and 2 over 3 and so on.

Last phone paired and then in order backwards has the priority.

4,3,2,1 last.

And with my Volkswagen, the paired phone is whichever gets to the car first - no switching capabilities, just a race to the car...
