Smile Need Installation instructions for X5 (E70) phone eject-box/snap-in adapter

Hi,

I have a 2009 X5d loaded, including bluetooth, except I stupidly did not order the "smartphone integration" option. I need the charging ability and antenna range of the integrated BMW electronics, SO I ordered the Eject Box and Razr V3 snap-in adapter from Biimmernav.com but no instructions came. I cannot see where in the console this inserts, although I did the same installation on an earlier 2001 E53 X5. AM I possibly missing a third lower part of the eject box?

I do believe the wiring harness attached to the eject box connects below the armrest console, for the antenna and power connections.

Does anyone have any pictures and installation instructions for this installation, please?

Thanks in advance,
nekountze

You could check the thread that I posted on my snap-in adapter installation

Sounds like you still need to get the eject box support frame too. I had a really hard time getting this all installed (and ended up with an imperfect solution).

I wouldn't do it again -- especially because my iPhone 3G appears to provide better reception than the Motorola RAZR. I obviously can't be sure that the iPhone is better -- the signal seems to be; I have fewer dropped calls and it shows more bars than the RAZR.

Send me your email address and I can send you the PDF I was sent from a BMW dealer that covers the installation of the Phone adapter.
