Radio won't mute !!

Hi everyone.
I've just retro fitted a bluetooth system to a 02 X5 4.6is from bimmernav with no problems at all.
The only issue I have is the radio does not mute when a call is made or recieved although mutes fine with nav.
Does anyone know how to resolve this?
Thanks
Jonny

Check the telephone mute line (TELM) that goes from ULF to the radio.
Is it connected?
Measure the voltage on the line when a call is active.

TELM is on pin 8 of the X322 loom connector
It's white with a brown stripe
Goes to pin 10 of the X18126 of the radio module (old gen)

Can't find any evidence that the telm is not connected. Although I am totally novice to these things
Thanks anyway
