BT and voice activation gone...
Any advice on what happened? Can I reset the BT? What about VA? Are the BT and voice activation tied together such that if one is out so is the other? Thanks, mug3 |

Yes, the Bluetooth and voice recognition are in the same module with your car. That is an odd set of symptoms. It sounds like the module has died. However, if that were the case, I would not expect to see the phone paired. That may be a trip back to the dealer to have them take a look.
Do you know what kind of BT module you have? Is it the ULF module or a Bluetooth-Assist module?

According to the BT card, it is a Motorola unit, date Sept., 2005. Is this enough info to tell if it is a ULF or BT-assist module?
I tried to pair my wife's phone and it recognized the car but when I tried to pair it with the car I got the message it could pair with the car. It appears the indication of being paired with my car is constantly displayed on my phone whether it's in range of the car or not. My phone is an iphone, and for the last 3 months since I got the X5 has worked wonderfully. |
