Question Improving reception

Hi everyone! Is there a way to improve BT reception? I get tons of complaints from people when I use the BT in my truck. I have tried everything (moving the phone's location, pointing the air vents down, etc.).

What about the cradle? As I understand it, cradels only provide power (not connectivity). Am I right?

Thanks in advance for your help

Jose

P.S. I have a T637 phone. I drive an 05 X5 with the voice BT module.

Two things come to mind. First off, did you do the install yourself?
1) Microphone needs to have arrow pointed towards the windshield
2) Your understanding about the cradle is incorrect. There is also a connection for the car's bumper antenna under the armrest that connects to the eject box's connection. This connection will generally yield one more bar when compared to the cell phone's internal antenna.

Thanks for the reply... no, I didn't do the install. The system is factory standard.

Thanks for the clarification on the cradle. Where can I buy one? Again, I have a Sony-Ericsson T637

Snap in adaptor for the T637 is part number 84 21 0 304 298. You will also need the eject box, which is part number 84 21 6 933 415.

Snap in adaptors can be ordered here - http://advancedautovations.com/alacarte.html
