Do all 2005 X5's have Bluetooth?
When I turn the key to position 1 (or turn the X on) I use my phone to search and come up with nothing. I've tried pushing the R/T button on the steering wheel - nothing; I've tried pushing the "sneezing man" button on the wheel - nothing; I've tried the Tel and phone buttons on the MID - nothing. I need to pull apart the back compartment to try to find the passkey, but even if I am equipped, what good will the PK do me if the phone won't even recognize the BT? |

Under that list the link "Pairing a Bluetooth Phone on a 2005 with combo Assist/Bluetooth Module" works fine.

If you have BMW assist (SOS) then the dormant bluetooth can be enabled with Navcoder.

Don't you need to have navigation to be able to use Navcoder?

No, you do not need navigation. NavCoder works great on non-navigation cars.
Jochen originally created NavCoder to code a few navigation features, but he has since expanded it to code many non-navigation components.

I have an 04 that has the sos and phone buttons. Does that mean I can activate bt?

Highly likely. SOS button means you have a TCU. You will need to buy a Resler interface and Navcoder.

The first CDMA TCU with Bluetooth was manufactured in September 2004, for the 2005 model year cars. If your TCU was ever replaced, then you could have a newer model with BT, but if your TCU is original, most likely you do not have Bluetooth.
