Bluetooth Alternative ?

I have a genration 4 ulf in my x5 and no matter what steps i have taken in trying to resolve and make this piece of kit work , i have failed !

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT can connect via my intravee 2 set up, however i tried that and got no results...!

Considering that a newer ulf module is nearly £400 , so instead of paying this silly money for a blue tooth kit...

Has Anyone fitted an alternative unit ? (parrot)can you have the phone data details(i.e phone books , recents etc) displayed on the sat nav screen ?

Cheers

You can do a Parrot, but there are some trade-offs. Here is a quick comparison.

Have you tried Navcoder to see if you can get the ULF to pair?

Not sure , is that the extension under the intravee module ? If so yes ...I'm not sure if generation 4 ulf is simply not compatible ?

The ULF is independant of the Intravee. They use different wiring, different connectors and different everything else.

Navcoder is software and needs a Resler interface.

Resler interface is available through google.

What exactly have you connected, and what is it you are trying to do, and what steps have you taken?

Ok ,

I have opened center console and checked to see if the pairing button cable is loose / disconnected etc took the negative battery cable off / reboot etc , changed to another ulf ( though still same generation) , etc check the fuse box ... And simply the process as in the manual (BMW) to pair phone etc did not work

was told by another member to pair via intravee . I.e assign a key to bluetooth ... And still no joy ...

I have DVD nav mk iv , ulf gen 4 , with intravee 2 with firm ware 6.01
