Yeap i agree with coffeeman. I have a cell phone store here in SD. so I am very familiar with bluetooth. I also pair all the bluetooth phones for LExus and Acura Dealerships. I havent done any BMW but as far as I see no problems. And Yes, is Verizon the one to blame.

hmm... interesting. I was about to switch to Verizon specifically to get the new Razor but decided against it when I found out OBEX was disabled. I had heard rumors that the first few thousand were shipped enabled by mistake, and clearly that seems to hold true here.

Does anyone have any insight as to whether Verizon is going to disable it in the future over the wire, or if they decided to keep it enabled at the last minute on purpose etc?

I just don't want to sign a 2 year agreement with Verizon and then have it disabled on me...

Get the phone and try it, you have 15 days to return it.
