Verizon Razr3c - NOT Compatible ???

Has anyone out there tried this phone yet. The Verizon Web site and the Verizon Reps indicate that this version of the Moto Razr will NOT work with BMW Assist package....WTF!

Is this a Motorola change or something our friends at Verizon have done to cripple the phone s/w?

Any help?

The Cingular and T-Mobile V3 Razr both work great with the BMW ULF, so it must be something Verizon is doing with the phone.

I got my RAZR today and am happy to say that it pairs fine with my X5 ('05 4.8is) and the phonebook transfers over just fine as well. It actually pairs quicker than my old v710.

I just received a Verizon RAZR for my daughter, and OBEX is present and enabled! Major screw up on Verizon's part...they rushed it to market. They always disable OBEX to force users to transfer data, pics, etc, using GET IT NOW. I would not be surprised if they issue a firmware update that disables it. In any event, it should pair and transfer the phonebook with no problem.

Yeap i agree with coffeeman. I have a cell phone store here in SD. so I am very familiar with bluetooth. I also pair all the bluetooth phones for LExus and Acura Dealerships. I havent done any BMW but as far as I see no problems. And Yes, is Verizon the one to blame.
