Yes it does. Those modules work fine - just no SMS text message capability.

yes - and depending on your build date some other bits too.... for sure you will need some method of activating pairing. Does the ebay auction include anything else?

No, the Autcion doesn't include anything else,

Ok, found another one for sale. part number 8421 6955522, should be one of the latest modules. All the visteon modules will work with the X5, correct?
I have a 2003 X5?
Let me now,
Thanks

Hi Guys - first posting so pls be gentle with me..

I have a 1st generation bluetooth module (84 21 6 934 552) factory fitted in my UK spec E39 (March 2003) along with wide screen SAT NAV - no assist in UK. All works well but never any voice.

Held steering wheel speech button two & half hours (well nearly) but still no beep. Steeler said no voice in my car (but what do they know).

The blue connector in the boot is connected to another module (could be TCU but I'm not sure what that is.

I'd welcome any suggestions or comments you guys might have

Gary

No voice...

Here are a couple things to ckeck. 1st. The blue connector must have a jumper plug on it - if its connected to the voice control module it will interfere with the ULF - put a jumper plug on (don't worry you will still have voice control). 2nd. There is a BMW technical service bulletin that you can find on bluetoothyourbmw.com that references no audio problems on the X5 - its simply a case of not having the connector plugged in the back of the head unit properly - easy fix. 3rd. You might have a problem with the tel-on signal or possibly an older version of the HU but both are unlikely.

Try the first two and let us know the results.

Thanks Randy for the reply. I've seen mention of the jumper plug (SES plug?)
You think I need to disconnect the blue connector and fit this plug on the end?

I'll give it at try but could take a while to get one.

Re the disconnected cable, I don't know if this applies as I have a NAV head unit but its worth checking all the plugs I can find are seated OK.

You believe I have voice then but it just isn't working cos cars still under warranty!!!

Yes - you have voice capability....

Just needs to be connected/set-up properly.
