Eonon 5166 working with DSP 2005 X5 Solved :)

Parts needed

Eonon 5166
Eonon A0567 Extension (40p or 17p) (will have different connections with the 17p)

Metra 40PIN Harness 71-9003

Connections

At DSP AMP Large 15pin connector, to aftermarket Metra 40pin plugged into stock radio brain in the trunk floor

DSP #4 to aftermarket metra #13
DSP #8 to #15 "
DSP #15 to #12 "
DSP small connector white wire with yellow marks to Metra 9

From OEM radio brain (trunk floor) where new Metra is plugged in connect #16 to Purple with white line on OEM Harness that was originally plugged into OEM radio(brain), but now plugged into Eonon extended harness (A0567) which is connected to the 5166

It works

NOTE: I have the 40pin connector

Amp connections here:

Subscribed. I'd get an older Dynavin D99+ if it meant that I could use it with DSP

Did you have issues with being able to fade? I have no sound from my rear speakers only the front and adjusting the fade on the 5166 just fades to silence. Is this something where I need to reconnect the original navigation head unit to adjust the fade?

Not that I'm aware of, I haven't tried it.. but all speakers were on and working. Until this last weekend, I lost all sound but confirmed the player isn't the problem - I think its my OEM AMP

After the install how has the radio held up? I'm a little weary buying the China products...All functions still work?

Besides the canbus decoder going bad on mine, it's worked as advertised. I've only had mine for 4 or 5 months though. I have been pleased with customer service from them. They responded to all emails within 24hours, usually overnight since they're in China.
