ipod text ??? on sat/nav Help!!!! a lady please!!!!

Ok I've got the sat/nav set up and have cleansweep and aftermarket speakers.

Decided to get a ipod done so denison icelink now in boot connected up instead of the cd changer everything works perfect but only thing no text comes up on the screen it just says now playing or external source (need to check again exactly what it says cause I might be getting mixed up with what it says on my 1'er)

anyways I've not got the proper text what have I done wrong.?????

Let's start with what firmware you are running on the ice>Link. Here are the procedures:

Turn the key to the on position and select your CD Changer. Once you are in this mode, plug in the iPod to the Active Cradle or Docking cable. During the warning screen, the firmware version can be spotted by looking at the number in the top right corner of the iPod.

cheers right well husband is away with the X but will be back later today.
Will follow your instructions and post up what it says.

right I've just phoned Allan and he says the version is 22.b2.

I've just looked into the settings of my ipod that I have here at work (20gb) it says version 3.0.2 I have not tried this one yet.

ID3 Text Activation Procedures

1) Select CD #6 on the Radio/NAV screen
2) Scroll to "Setup" on the ipod using the steering wheel controls and select setup menu by pressing on the UP arrow on the steering wheel for +3 seconds.
3) Scroll to "Text Selector" press on the UP arrow on the steering wheel for +3 seconds and and follow the instructions on your radio/navigation screen.
4) Text is now activated!

NAV users: Text can be toggled by using the "info" on your navigation screen
