Tomdownunder is on a distinguished road
Eonon D5166ZA (not android)

I recently bought one of these from and ebay seller. Everything works except my reversing camera and the steering wheel controls. I have a 2004 E53 with the 40 pin plug on the back of the radio and did not have factory satnav or dsp.

The unit came with a connector for the 40 pin plug and a canbus adapter, but there are a few extra wires hanging out the back which are labelled as steering wheel control 1 and steering wheel control 2 which are not connected to anything.

How do I get the steering wheel controls to work? The seller has been no help whatsoever and has not responded to my messages after purchase. I have searched everywhere on the net and to date haven't found an answer. Surely there are wires already behind the radio for the steering wheel controls?

On my E39 (which is older 17 pin plug) I installed an aftermarket radio/satnav unit and everything worked.

Anyone able to help?
