Swapping Radio Modules

Question for the group... Bought what I was told was a 2003 or newer radio module off ebay. I have a 2002 and I want a module that's Satellite radio compatible.

I'm not sure what I received, but at a minimum the wiring harness/plug is different and I also noticed the BC plug is missing. I'm a new BMW owner, so apologize in advance for the ignorance. I just want to know what I've got.

Pictures of my 2002 radio....

Pictures of other radio...

You didn't buy the radio module, you bought the MID module. The radio module is actually integrated into the CD player that mounts above the MID.

Also, having a challenge getting the CD out. I can unscrew it properly, but when I try to pull it out it seems to be impeded by the trim door. Any thoughts?

Hi Diceman,
I have just taken mine out to do the aux input, you have to unscrew the 2 allen bolts all the way anticlockwise untill they are loose then tighten a little.
Keep pulling it will come out, I had the same thoughts as you at first.
