Aftermarket tv fitting

Hi all
Just bought a motorised tv/dvd single din unit to replace the tape deck and MID. The problem i got is how to link the handbrake line cable. I got the iso adapter and the unit plays radio fine but wont show the tv screen as the handbrake line cable is not connected. Obviously its somewhere from the handbrake but I have removed a few panels and cant see. Has anyone got any ideas on this?
Many thanks
Ricky

Just a thought. You could just ground that wire. It will make the TV stay on all the time. Most audio install shops will not do it. Legal issues. But a DIY job, way not?
