BSW Replacement Mod
hey all! just an update. i received my kit tuesday.
unfortunately, i've been sick since then. today, i finally started feeling better and decided to start tackling this mod. first off, i must say, the direction that Micah included are phenomenal. they include step-by-step instructions w/ pics. also, if u don't already have a door panel removal tool, go get one. i started w/o one and thought for sure i was going to break my trim pieces; so, i stopped until i went and picked up the tool. i do have a couple comments regarding the instructions though. me, personally, i didn't remove the entire rear door panels. both the tweeters and mid-bass speakers can be removed w/o completely removing the door panel. also, being that i didn't remove the complete door panel, there is no need to attempt to remove the rear sunshades. for me personally, i think it's easier NOT to remove the rear door panels and sunshade. if u choose to remove the door to give u more working room, u will have to remove the sunshade, which is a PITA! as for the front doors; well, i tried to not remove the entire door panel, but no matter how hard i tried, it managed to pop off. no biggie though. and, if ur or anyone else's install goes as mine, u'll probably end up having some pics of plastic fall between ur feet. don't worry though. it simply slides back on to the inner middle part of the door panel. i'll try and take pics. well, being sick and all, this was the extent of my day of modding. all i wanted to accomplish was removing all of the speakers and, i accomplished that. tomorrow, depending on how i feel, i may attempt the installation. hope this helps.
