Not sure what you mean by the "iPod hookup".

The BMW iPodYourBMW kit is not compatible with the Premium Sound (ie. DSP) option nor navigation.

The BMW AUX input kit will work with both the premium sound system and the regular sound system, with or without nav.

The aftermarket system from Dension, Ice Link Plus, also works with both the premium sound system and the regular sound system, with or without nav.
