Problem with IceLink and Sirius
I have a 2006 3.0 x5 with Nav, Factory Sirius install, no DSP, no CD changer. I bought the icelink+ and was told it would work on my car. The problem is that after looking for a *long* time, I finally found that what looked liked the CD changer plugs in the trunk were already plugged into another wire. To better describe it, there are the two wires with the plugs that come from the front left side of the car. They are plugged into another wire right around where the cd changer should go. This second wire then snakes accross the trunk and underneath the spare tire towards where the battery is. I unplugged it, and the two plugs fit perfectly into the icelink cable. But the effect that had was to remove sirius as an option on my nav screen. I believe I have the factory sirius. I got it installed when I bought the car brand new, I have a BMW sirius manual and full integration with the nav screen. Any ideas? Thanks, Potxoli |

It sounds like you found the right cable, but I believe you'll need the CD CHANGER CABLE to have both Sirius and the ICE Link - part number 84.11.0.141.978
