I understand that you can get Itunes files to show the ID3 if configured correctly. I have yet to try it as I do not have any Itunes files.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3813 Also this is not mentioned in the link, but if you use Itunes you have to make sure that you select "Convert ID3 Tags" under the "Advanced" menu and change to version 1.x. The BMW system only recognizes ID3 version 1 tags. I think the Itunes default is version 2.x |

MINI COOPER MP3 changer in my X5
Here's another option. I purchased the MP3 changer out of BMW dealer because my dealer here didn't have the first clue on how to find it.
I thought I was ordering a BMW part from a BMW dealer. The package showed up with MINI packaging and labelling all over it. The parts label on the back of the changer itself, said BMW. The cartridge access door on the front of it, said BMW. The part number is: 65 12 6 977 766-03 My BMW dealer couldn't reference this number and that leads me to believe it is a MINI part number. Bottom line: Works perfectly in my 2006 X5. Chris |
