How much Power is too much?
How many watts can the stock alt handle? i want to be safe and not put a strain on the electrical system . Or better yet, how many amps is the stock alt? |

It doesn't matter how much power you are running for your subs as long as you have a cap (capacitor). 1 farad for every 1000 watts. I run around 3000 for my whole system and my car is fine as long as I keep the motor running when I blast the music. Some people run close to 10,000 watts. Its really up to you. As long as you do it right it'll be fine.

Hey bro, I'd love to see your setup, have any pics?
I was thinking about going with Focal, and Audison. All my past systems have been completely JL Audio, and I'm trying to take another route. |
