Has anyone tried retrofitting the DVD changer for the 7 series in our cars to display video in the nav-screen?

DVD Changer...

I do not know who makes it...I suspect it is the Alpine 680, but I cannot be sure. It's my understanding that if you purchase it from the parts department, it could set you back $1100 or so...But I don't have the part number for reference. I've only seen it in the rear of the 745Li

DVD Changer...

That could well be it...Here is a picture of a 745 with it...It looks like a regular 6 disc CD changer.

I have seen one of these fitted it does indeed look exactly like a cd changer and is fitted in the boot in the same place as other bmw models.
It played through the front monitor (no rear screen fitted)and the picture was great but the sound with logic7 was amazing

actually as far as i know.. my mom owns an 05' 750 wit this DVD option. And as far as i know, the dvd/video is played in the back screen not the front. My little brother always sits in the back and watches cartoons as my mom drives and the sound is amazin for a car.
