Can anyone confirm mp3 cd player?

will this be the one im getting with my new 06 X5 or do i have to order a specific model #....

If you mean CD Changer, then it will play MP3's with a 06 X5. If you have Nav then you will get MP3 info from CD's in the changer on the Nav screen, but the CD in the head unit will not play MP3's.

I know the MP3 CD player is available in the US, but don't know if it's installed on new vehicles - it might depend if they have old ones on the shelf. Specify to the dealer that you require one that plays MP3's.

it's an Alpine / plays MP3, with BM54, CDtext is OK.

ok confirmed by myself my x5 cd changer plays mp3 files!
