Tv tuner and backup camera w/Sirius

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I figure it will be moved if it isn't. I just finished adding stock sirius sat in my 05 X5. I used all stock parts except for the antenna so i could have it stealth in the rear spoiler. I am now considering installing the OEM tv tuner and backup camera. By reading the BMW install instructions, it seems that the video module is supposed to be place in the same spot as the sirius module. Has anyone had any experience installing this module in any alternate place? Also, does anyone know if there are any more sites that are selling modified OEM TV module solutions? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

This may or may not be helpful ....

Yea, I had the same problem in my E46 M3. Sirius and the TV tuner share the same mounting location. With a bit of a think, and some good old Velcro I came up with the following solution :

In terms of the TV tuner, I purchased the complete retrofit TV kit from a Ebay Germany seller. I believe the kit is also available for the X5, but not 100% sure. It came with the Analog TV tuner, the official BMW wiring adapter and the rear bumper TV antenna. I installed the Tuner and wiring adapter no problem and all is good. I've not got around to the rear bumper antenna yet as that is a bit more involved.

Retrofit TV tuner kit part # for E46 : 65 50 143 549

Good Luck !

The electronics bay in the left rear compartment is a good alternative location to mount the TV tuner module.
