IceLink problem :(
Ok well my other thread I was trying to find the 12v wire which I ended up using the white one because it goes on and off with the key. Anyway, when I plugged the IceLink in ONLY to the cd changer harness, the thing started to get really really hot I don't know why.....I ended up putting the whole thing together and it never worked. This was for my uncles X5 btw....I put the IceLink in my 1996 328i and it works perfectly fine. The X5 has DSP, this whole thing is a PITA, anyone have any ideas why it won't work at all?

It was getting pretty hot, *almost* enough to burn my hand....but if that means its working, then how come the car won't recognize it? Do I have to disconnect the battery to make it recognize it? Thanks!! |

Oh one more thing, the X5 as dsp but there was no cable connected to it when i removed the side panel. Also there is no 6pin cable to be found anywhere, does there have to be one or is it only with non-DSP vehicles?
