Is there a replacement unit for the BMW back sead DVD player?

I have a 2002 4.6 that I had the BMW back seat DVD player installed into. It mostly works, but it has a disturbing tendency to hang while playing a DVD (even a brand new, untouched DVD can get hung).

I was wondering if anyone has this system installed and has replaced the DVD player unit? If so, is it a DIY, and what player did you use?

I want to replace the player and keep all of the other components in place.

Thanks!

Shoot me a call I may be able to point you in the right direction to acquire a new DVD unit, while keeping your BMW DVD headrests.

I'm assuming this is the device in the cargo area on the passenger side? Not many X5s had this option. The connections should be A/V RCA cables.
