Semi-true. I have my iPod through the new gen Aux input, because I will never give up my glove box CDC with its ability to spontaneously play anything external.

This is the thing I was thinking about, the Dension Ice>Link Gateway 400. That looks like it has all kinds of inputs, including that it retains OEM CD changer use. Does anyone know anything about this product?

It simply doesn't exist yet. We probably won't see this until end of the year.

Bummer. That seemed like such a great answer, too.

You could try intravention. http://www.intravention.co.uk You can have the Alpine CHA-S634 MP3/CD Changer as well as the iPod connected. Although they both "hang" from the CD changer connection, you select between the two devices via the NAV/radio display.
