i gave up on my install. my build is an '05/'03 also.
i believe my issue was the fact that i had an older
Sirius receiver that was built strictly for NON-NAV
X5's. i've yet to purchase the new Sirius receiver
though. some have said that a newer Radio Module
is not needed; however, I don't know about that.
i would suggest getting in touch w/ Morristown BMW
and price a new radio module.

after ur setup is installed, does ur system cycle to
TAPE twice?
