DICE issue... is this normal?

Yes, it's me again. I am the guy whose DICE keeps randomly shutting down. I am constantly having to unplug it and re-plug it in to get it to re-initialize...

Well, it is working somewhat better now.. but one thing that is bothering the heck out of me. When the CD text scrolls, it makes a "tick" noise. Oh, and the volume doesn't matter. You can turn the radio up, and the ticking gets louder. So you can imagine, since the song, artist, and album are constantly scrolling, there is a constant "tick," "tick," "tick," "tick," noise.

I could just turn off the text, but.. well.. then the text isn't displayed.

Is my module just bad? I think it is...

I am constantly having to unplug it and re-plug it in to get it to re-initialize also for DICE to work. Sometimes I will have that "tick," "tick," "tick," "tick," noise also.
If I don't unplug and replug it don't work at all. Disk 1 will go to next track but then the * * will appear in the text, Disk 2, 3 and 4 will do next, prev but will not do anything. My ICE-Link + works a lot better but it is installed now in MY03 MINI Cooper S.

Try relocating the module to a different area to see if the noise is diminished or eliminated.

It's under the driver seat. Is there another location that you suggest it go?

This depends on where you would like the iPod to reside. Try relocating in different areas first to see if the noise changes before deciding upon a location.
