DINANM3: The old system wasn't plug and play, but install was still very simple. Previously, there were two crimps required to install the tweeters and midrange speakers. Now there are none required!

Dblock2151: Yes, the Stage 1 operates off of the stock amplifier. You can always upgrade to an aftermarket amplifier down the road.

The output of the factory amplifier depends on your existing setup. If you don't have DSP, output is about 15W per channel RMS, with DSP, about 30W. If you were to upgrade to an aftermarket amplifier, the most you could run these driver's with is about 70W / channel. You would need to purchase two pair of crossover networks @ $29/pair before installing them in that configuration.
