Just Curious
How much does this aftermarket nav setup from Pioneer cost with the bezel and full installation?
I would guess around $2500? I am considering it instead of a Garmin unit, but the cost may justify going with a Garmin |

Costs
I've been doing some checking, and it looks like the unit with everything that I need (bezel from www.mybimmer.net, Sirius tuner, iPod hookup, and bluetooth) should cost right about $2200. Cosider this: you get more than just the nav part, and if you install it yourself, you get a really sweet custom install.
Also, one very minor mod and you get the full touch screen access through an on off switch so that you can stay "legal" in states that prohibit some types of mods. |

In case anyone was wondering...pretty much every car audio company is coming out with a system like the AVIC-Z1...which have all been unveiled at the CES show in Vegas this week. It would be wise to wait until March to get something because we all know that with more competition the price will come down. Even Pioneer is coming out with something similiar to the Z1...AVIC-D3. And, it is only $1000 retail. You would of course have to buy all the add-on's but it is a lot less than the Z1 which retails for around $2200.
