Smile Audiotext Soloution

Hi Guys,

Today I stumbled across a 'soloution' to my Nav unit not being able to display Audiotext - maybe this will help others. It could just be a coincidence.

I have a 2004.5 X5 but retofitted nav using parts from a 2006 4.8is. I have an MP3 compatible changer, the 2006 screen (latest part number), MK4 and the latest radio 276 (275 in the US). Software is V26/

After I installed the unit if I hit INFO the unit would say AUDIOTEXT but it was not selectable! No Audiotext was displayed.

Today for the first time I switched to FULL SCREEN instead of Split Screen. When I hit the INFO button in full screen I got the AUDIOTEXT option and it was tickable! I ticked it and Audiotext is now displayed! I also 'unlocked' another option on the info screen called NAVMIN which has a selectable value. I don't know what this does.

I switched back to split screen and I still have Audiotext! Go figure!

Regards.
