Question Installing Ice Link in 2005 X3

I'm the proud new owner of a 2005 X3. I read in an article posted on this website that you can access the CD Changer cable for the X3 under the armrest. I removed the center cupholder by lifting it, and there do seem to be cables in there. Is one of the those the one that I'm after, and does this mean that I do not have to remove the center console to install the Ice Link IPod adapter in my X3?

I would much rather not have to embark on something as daunting as removing the center console; I'd leave that to a Denison installer. However, wiring under the armrest seems pretty straight forward.

I do not have a CD Changer. I'm not interested in mounting the IPod externally; all I want to do is install the IPod in the arm rest, velcro'd to the inside.

I would appreciate any help or guidance.
