ice-link plus final firmware
Does anyone have the final firmware released for this unit? Maybe it will help some of my issues. Dension dragged their feet on this for months with me, and then went out of business. TIA |

Perhaps you should just upgrade your Icelink to Dice ($99). The Dice unit had much less engine whine for me. I kept my Icelink for a backup!

Firmware is not going to correct engine whine, which is likely hardware based. The ice>Link could be picking up interference from other devices in the vehicle. You can try relocating the wire to see if the noise is diminished or if you cannot find the source of the noise - a ground loop isolator must be used.
Some BMWs are more sensitive to engine noise than others. Here is a link to the version we offer on the website: 12 Amp Power Noise Filter http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...roducts_id=309 Otherwise, I would recommend going with a supported system like the DICE. Since you already have the ice>Link, you would only need the upgrade like zerochief linked above.
