I had the same problem - when I would shut off the ignition, the speakers would pop or sometimes when I switched from source to source. The weirdest part - it only happened for about 4 days then stopped and I haven't heard it since. I would love to know what it might have been though because I was about to rip the speakers out myself it was so annoying!

Ihave the same issue on my 53 X5, that the dealer never managed to reproduce, even though I get it loads. Apparently I have been told it might be a faulty amplifier (a hairline crack on the mainboard) and it needs replacing. I find this out now that the car is not in warranty and the dealer doesnt want to know. I get the popping noise everytime its a warm day.....
I still have the issue... Andrew |

I am having the same problem with the pop noise. Has anyone figure out what is the actual cause of the problem?

A friend of mine was having the same and he said that it was something faulty with the amp... he replaced an IC or something then the problem is gone.
