Sirius/XM/Alpine S634 w/ DSP + Navi HELP
Just bought a 2004 X5 4.4i (Production Date 05/04 , Grey/Black (Premium / Sport Pckgs), DSP/Navi After reading / reviewing the articles (very helpful and full of info) I'm still confused on the following and best configration: First I'm a big Satellite Radio Fan and currently subscribe to BOTH Sirius and XM (in another vehicle). I'd prefer XM in the X5. Additionally the vehicle did not have a CD Changer at all. It seems that all of the instructions that I'm reading all reference integration Instructions with systems that do not have Navi. I'd like to better understand if it's possible install the following combination: Solution 1:XM Commander w/ either Blitzsafe / Soundgate Adapter AND Alpine CHA-S634 MP3 Changer. Both should display info (CD Artist name / Title & XM Info) I thought there was a way to Daisychain the XM Commander Unit to the Alpine-S634 Therefore still allowing for the OEM Sirius Unit as well. Solution 2: CHA-S634 + Sirius OEM Unit. I know the Sirius info will come across the NAV display but will the CD info as well? Just need some guideance. Thanks in advance and let me know if ther is additional info that I can provide to help with an answer. Dean |

Hi Dean, :welcome: to X5world.
First, I don't believe that the Alpine CD changer will give you CD artist name / title info. It only displays cd number (disk 1 through 6 in the changer) and track number. Have you considered going with an iPod solution instead of the CD changer? If so, I would suggest you go with the Dension IceLink Plus and the BMW Sirius kit. Both work just fine with Nav and both will display song information (artist and song name). Jeff

Thanks for the info. Don't have an iPod but I do have Dell Jukebox 20gb portible. Do you know if any companies like Denison have a solution that integrates with the X5 (Navi + DSP)?
