OEM Sirius Part Numbers

Hello,

Is there a difference between Sirius Part Number 84-11-0-141-981 and 84-11-0-153-365?

Looking at the sirius retrofit instructions on x5 world, it appears both parts work, however one poster had nav in one case, and in the other the poster did not have nav.

Does NAV matter which sirius module you get?

Both will work, the 365 unit is the later (3rd Generation) receiver. there are no difference in features between the two.

Correction... The 84-11-0-141-981 unit only works with non-navigation cars. The 84-11-0-153-365 only works with navigation-equiped cars.

Minor update... These are all of the BMW Sirius modules I know about, and the differences
  • 84.11-0 141 981: First Generation Sirius module for cars without navigation. Has dual antenna inputs.
  • 84.11-0 153 365: First Generation Sirius module for cars with navigation. Has dual antenna inputs.
  • 65.12-0 398 140: Second Generation Sirius module for cars with and without navigation. Supercedes both modules above. Has the single antenna input.
  • 65.12-0 416 377: Second Generation Sirius module for cars with and without navigation. Supercedes all of above. Comes with a one-year Sirius subscription. Has the single antenna input.

Great,

Thanks for the follow up everyone. I picked up all the parts and will be completing the install this weekend. I'll take pics and let you know how it works out!
