Aftermarket speakers and amps.

I,ve just bought myself a 2001 4.4 sport. It has the comms pack but no DSP. What i'm wanting to do is install my DLS UP6 comps and ed 12 sub along with my Phoenix Gold Outlaw amp. I'm guessing there is an amp already in the car as part of the factory system. Is it possible to connect into this amp for my input signal to the Outlaw.

Very possible and loads of info about that on this site. Run a search (above) and also look at the home page www.xoutpost.com under the stereo section. Lots of info here about connecting to the low and high level inputs in your system.

All the other post seem to say that you need ta conterter to go from High to low input. Is this correct or is there a way of having low line input ie, RCA.

It really depends on what amps or signal processor you are going to use. That will determine if you need line output converters or not. Some amps can accept high and low, some just low. Some require certain minimum low-level voltage. There are no low-level output RCA's available in your X5 from the factory unfortunately.

Yes, you will have access to all of the signals in the same connector.
