e70, 6fl, iphone/itouch issue

is there a 6fl cable that charges the iphone/itouch in the e70?
i remember coming accross something like that some time ago but can't find it.

on the itouch it would stay playing but battery level would be below 20% and never charge(go above) or go much below that 20%.

now after upgrade version 1.1.3 to the itouch it goes all the way down and shuts off causing the stereo to go from AUX to FM. It's really annoying.

it was annoying before that i couldn't take the ithouch out the car to use it cuz it had very little battery life left but it's even more annoying now that it shuts off completely!

so any word on that 6fl that allows it to be charged?
anyone having said issue with their ithouch/iphone?

Not sure if this is the correct answer to your question, but I queried BMW about the need for a different 6fl cable for the iPhone/iTouch than I had been using successfully with an older iPod. They replied...."The cable that came with your vehicle is not compatible with later iPod and iPhone devices, however there is a newer cable available through the Parts Department of your BMW center.

Parts information:
X5 SAV (E70) All Models 65 11 0 036 446 W/O factory installed CD Changer prewiring
65 11 0 036 448 With factory installed CD Changer prewiring"

Hope this helps.
