Where to place OBC to keep computer functions with aftermarket head unit?
Well anyway, in my last SUV, I had a Pioneer AVIC-N1 and now I can't live without it. So now I'm going to do the Pioneer AVIC-Z1 install and have read the other post concerning it. It all seems pretty straight forward... but I would really like to keep the OBC functions. Does anyone have any ideas or examples of a relocated OBC/Head Unit with an aftermarket head unit? I was thinking of relocating it maybe somewhere towards the trunk or even in the glove box? |

man I love how responsive the X5 forum can be at times.... For those searching I will post this now. THE MID can be placed in the glovebox with simple cat 5 cable extending the OEM wires.
