Thanks

The stock nav is a lot more expensive and a lot more work to install.
And you still won't have video input.

Email me and we'll work something out. [email protected]

I'm looking for someone that wants to do this now. I don't have an X5 so I need someone with access to a digital camera so they can take pics for me along the way. In return, I'll give that person an excellent discount on the bezel.

Here is where you stand based on the pieces that have been recommended.

Remove Product(s) Qty. Total
MP3Car Custom Car Computer (3688)
- Build Build+Test+Preload OS
- Motherboard VIA EPIA SP13000 Mini-ITX Motherboard
- Hard Drive 2.5" Hard Drive 80GB Samsung 5400rpm
- CD/DVD Drive Pioneer Slot Load DVD±R/+R DL/±RW Dual Drive 8X
- Memory Ultra Low Profile 512MB DDR RAM
- Bluetooth Linksys USB Bluetooth
- Operating System Windows XP Pro
- Keyboard Mini PS2 Keyboard
- Monitor Xenarc 700TSV (Black)
- Sound Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS (/w MII12000 only)
- Power Supply M1-ATX
- Wireless Linksys USB Wireless G
$1,720.00
Xenarc 700TSV - VGA Monitor with touchscreen and video inputs

- Screen Cleaner Klear Screen High Performance Cleaning Kit
$418.95

Sub-Total: $2,138.95

Plus $50 for GPS
Plus software ?

How much for a bezel? I wonder what the install would cost at a quality dealer? I already have a dual head rest DVD/CD set up...I wonder if I could integrate all three screens together? HMmmmmmm?

Rich,

Do you know what would i would need to install the Pioneer AVIC-D1 system? And is it something the average DIY'er could install?

HEY MAN HOW'S IT GOING, AS YOU CAN SEE I'M NOT IN NJ, BUT CLOSE ENOUGH IN NY. I'M ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN LEARNING A LITTLE MORE ABOUT THE CARPUTER AND YOUR BEZEL, AND AS LONG AS IT DOESN'T VOID FACTORY WARRANTY OR THAT YOU CONVINCE ME THAT THE BENEFITS ARE HIGHER THAN THE WARRANTY, THEN MAYBE WE CAN AT LEAST MEET AND DISCUSS THIS LITTLE EXPERIMENT OF YOURS.

It doesn't void the warranty. It's like upgrading to an aftermarket radio.
